Charging & refunds at home
With chargeHome, we provide companies with a simple entry into electric mobility and offer a fair, efficient solution for charging electric vehicles at home. Our system ensures full cost transparency and combines the needs of drivers with company policies.
Home charging challenges
The integration of home chargings into existing company guidelines and the fair reimbursement of employees presents companies with significant challenges. Standard solutions can only be used to a limited extent.
Mit chargeHome enablen wir Flottenmanager:innen, die Ladekosten im Rahmen der Elektromobilität gezielt zu optimieren – transparent, regelkonform und effizient.
Three core challenges can be identified:
Cost and comfort optimization
Your field service fleet is rarely in the office. With a home charging infrastructure, you enable your employees to charge time and cost-effectively. This ensures acceptance and a comfortable experience with e-vehicles.
Equal treatment of all employees
Different living situations (electricity tariffs, charging station rentals, billing costs) make it challenging to determine the refund and the corresponding car policy.
Difficult access to charging data
Existing standard charging station solutions only work for 25% of drivers - especially in rental contracts or in apartment buildings, monitoring and reimbursing charged electricity is complex and time-consuming.
Reimbursement for home charges: simple, fair and independent of the charging station
With our chargeHome solution, we achieve complete equal treatment for all electric-driving employees. Regardless of whether it's your own or rented charging station, intelligent charging solutions or a household power adapter, we record the electricity charged at home using the car app and can thus reimburse all employees for home charges. In addition, we also take over the reimbursement for you — no new processes and additional accounting expenses for you.
Intuitive portal for fleet managers and drivers
Independent registration of the vehicle and the electricity tariff by employees
Valuable insights into charging behavior
Transparency in charging behavior with insights
Our app offers you transparent insights into your drivers' charging behavior – from charging times to locations to the charging power used. Drivers see their individual charging behavior directly in the app. As a fleet manager, you get a central overview of all charging processes in the portal – for more transparency, better traceability, and targeted optimization of electric mobility in the company.

Both the maximum charging capacity of the station and the maximum charging capacity of the vehicle represent values under optimal conditions. In reality, these are rarely present. In general, it can be said that a charging station always provides as much power as the vehicle requests. This means that if the charging station can provide 180 kW, but the vehicle only requests 50 kW, only 50 kW will be supplied. For a charging process to use the maximum charging power specified for the vehicle, a number of factors are crucial:
1) The temperature of the battery and the environment: If the battery is too warm or too cold, the car communicates with the charging station that it cannot charge at full power.
2) The age of the battery: The battery can degrade in performance and capacity due to age.
3) The current state of charge of the battery - SOC level: For the last 50%, charging performance can decrease depending on the car. This is to protect the battery.
4) The general charging curve of the vehicle: Depending on the manufacturer or model, this curve varies to a greater or lesser extent.
5) Power supply at the charging station: If there are many charging stations in one place, they have to share the charging power from the grid. It may then not be possible to provide full power at all charging stations.
6) Total power available at the charging station In these cases, our customer support cannot help. However, we generally do not limit the charging power of the charging stations.
