Charging & refunds at home

Home charging challenges
The integration of home chargings into existing company guidelines and the fair reimbursement of employees presents companies with significant challenges. Standard solutions can only be used to a limited extent.
Mit chargeHome enablen wir Flottenmanager:innen, die Ladekosten im Rahmen der Elektromobilität gezielt zu optimieren – transparent, regelkonform und effizient.
Three core challenges can be identified:
Cost and comfort optimization
Your field service fleet is rarely in the office. With a home charging infrastructure, you enable your employees to charge time and cost-effectively. This ensures acceptance and a comfortable experience with e-vehicles.
Equal treatment of all employees
Different living situations (electricity tariffs, charging station rentals, billing costs) make it challenging to determine the refund and the corresponding car policy.
Difficult access to charging data
Existing standard charging station solutions only work for 25% of drivers - especially in rental contracts or in apartment buildings, monitoring and reimbursing charged electricity is complex and time-consuming.
Reimbursement for home charges: simple, fair and independent of the charging station
With our chargeHome solution, we achieve complete equal treatment for all electric-driving employees. Regardless of whether it's your own or rented charging station, intelligent charging solutions or a household power adapter, we record the electricity charged at home using the car app and can thus reimburse all employees for home charges. In addition, we also take over the reimbursement for you — no new processes and additional accounting expenses for you.

A home charging station, also known as a home EV charger or wallbox, is a device that allows you to conveniently charge your electric vehicle at home. It is usually installed in your garage or at an outdoor location near your home.
ChargeHome is a tool that makes it possible to determine the energy privately charged with a company car, e.g. at home, regardless of the charging infrastructure. It qualifies potential refunds from the employer
Detection occurs via the manufacturer's app of the respective vehicle. It directly measures how much electricity flows into the battery – independent of the home charging station. This ensures the data is reliable and standardized.
Yes. Employees residing abroad can also charge their company car at home and automatically bill the costs. If additional costs arise (e.g., clearing fees), these can be entered into the system.
Billing does not occur via the home charging station, but directly via the electric vehicle's data. This ensures a clear separation between private and business charging processes – an important factor for correct and transparent company car billing.
Switzerland: The basis is the public electricity tariff from Elcom (category 4), calculated according to place of residence.
Neighboring countries: Since the electricity market is liberalized in most countries, tariffs cannot be determined by postal code. By default, Switzerland's median tariff is stored in the chargeHome portal. Alternatively, a fixed tariff can be defined for each neighboring country.
This makes chargeHome the ideal solution for companies that want to charge their company cars at home and bill correctly – whether in Switzerland or for cross-border commuters.
