chargeSmart is hardware and location-agnostic and can therefore be used independently of the existing charging infrastructure and load management. Since chargeSmart relies entirely on cloud interfaces, no additional hardware is required.
Switzerland: The basis is the public electricity tariff from Elcom (category 4), calculated according to place of residence.
Neighboring countries: Since the electricity market is liberalized in most countries, tariffs cannot be determined by postal code. By default, Switzerland's median tariff is stored in the chargeHome portal. Alternatively, a fixed tariff can be defined for each neighboring country.
This makes chargeHome the ideal solution for companies that want to charge their company cars at home and bill correctly – whether in Switzerland or for cross-border commuters.
Costs are set by the respective charge point operator (CPO) and vary by country as well as charging speed (AC/DC). All prices are transparently viewable in the app. Preferential rates are also available with certain providers for our customers – these are marked in the app with a dedicated icon.
